What filtering conditions are required for food

Food needs to meet a series of conditions during the filtration process to ensure its safety, hygiene, and quality. Here are some main filtering conditions:

1、 Selection of filter media

Non toxic and harmless: The filtering medium must be non-toxic and harmless, and will not cause contamination to food. The commonly used filter media include fabric media (such as natural or synthetic fiber woven filter cloth, filter screen), porous solid media (such as porous ceramic, porous glass, and porous plastic pipes bonded by plastic fine powder), and stacking media (such as coke, gravel, fine sand, activated carbon, or glass wool stacked in layers).

Corrosion resistance: The filter medium needs to be able to resist the corrosion of corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis that may exist in food.

Easy to clean and disinfect: In order to maintain the hygiene of the filter medium, it must be easy to clean and disinfect.

2、 Control of filtration accuracy

Determine filtration accuracy based on the type of food: Different foods have different requirements for filtration accuracy. For example, for foods that require the removal of small particles (such as milk and juice), higher filtration accuracy may be required.

Ensure filtration efficiency: The filtration accuracy should be able to effectively remove impurities from food, while avoiding the loss of nutritional components caused by excessive filtration.

3、 Requirements for filtration speed

Improve production efficiency: While ensuring the filtration effect, the filtration speed should be increased as much as possible to shorten the production cycle and improve production efficiency.

Avoid clogging: Excessive filtration speed may cause clogging of the filter medium, affecting the filtration effect. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the filtering speed according to the actual situation.

4、 Control of production environment

Cleanliness requirements: Food filtration should be carried out in workshops that meet national food standards to ensure the cleanliness of the production environment. Employees should wear dust-free clothing, dust-free gloves and other protective equipment during operation to reduce food contamination.

Sterilization treatment: Filter media and finished products should undergo ultraviolet sterilization treatment during the production process to ensure compliance with hygiene and pharmaceutical standards.

5、 Other special requirements

Fiber shedding control: The fabric of food filter bags should be made of long fibers to reduce the impact of fiber shedding on food quality.

The use of filter aids: When necessary, filter aids can be used to improve the filtration effect. But the filter aid must meet the requirements of non toxicity, chemical stability, etc., and attention should be paid to controlling the dosage and uniformity during use.

Above, food filtration requires comprehensive consideration of multiple aspects such as the selection of filtration media, control of filtration accuracy, requirements for filtration speed, and control of production environment. By meeting these conditions, the safety, hygiene, and quality of food can be ensured.
